The Laconic will be a very simple and, shall we say, short-winded Substack publication, focusing on dribbles, drabbles, double-drabbles (“droubles”), micros and flashes.

Personally, I’d been away from writing and publishing short fiction and ultra-short fiction for quite some time, having spent the last bunch of years oscillating between novel projects and music projects.

I’m starting this as an incentive to get back in the ultra-short fiction game again, as the activity will also serve as a reprieve from the hair-pulling(*) novel work I also do.

* Sure, go ahead, say it — the hair jokes practically write themselves🙄
